Sacred Spaces

While many churches are in decline, our membership continues to grow across all ages. On Sunday morning and throughout the week, our current buildings are bursting at the seams. Specifically, we have identified these critical needs:

  • A comfortable, inviting space designed especially for youth

  • Classrooms for all ages

  • Gathering space for fellowship before and after

  • Worship

  • Wellness ministry expansion

  • Staff office space

  • Preschool classrooms

  • Storage

To meet these needs, we will build a new building filled with irresistible spaces where people can find deeper connections with one another. Beautiful indoor and outdoor gathering spaces will invite people of all ages to participate in life-giving shared experiences and foster a sense of belonging and community.

We will also renovate existing spaces to house our expanded well-being ministry and increase office space for our growing staff.

Progress Updates

Exciting changes are underway on our campus! Keep track of what’s happening here.

Coming Up Next

Other Campus Projects
Several beautification and renovation projects will begin soon and continue through the summer, including fresh paint, updated restrooms, improved lighting, new carpet, and more.

Recent Progress

  • The Commons is open! See details here.

  • Handicapped and Seniors’ parking spaces have been moved to the lot adjacent to The Commons and the small lot just behind that. We welcome drop-off in the Circle for those with mobility challenges.

    • On Sundays, parking is legal on Providence Road in the southbound right lane.

    • CCK carpool has temporarily shifted to the front circle. During drop-off (Mon - Fri, 8:40 - 9 am) and pick-up (Mon - Thur, 12:30 - 1 pm / Fri 11:30 - 12), access to the parking lot will be blocked at the Portland Avenue entrance and at the light at Colville and Providence. During these times, parking is still available in the small parking lot accessible from Providence Road.

  • The Center for Wellbeing & Care is now open! See details here.

  • The renovated Blue Room is back in service.

  • The Green Room has been moved to the former GoodNews Cafe.

  • New parking area is now complete and can be accessed via the new entrance on Portland Avenue or from the front parking areas.

  • Nursery Suites have been renovated to create additional classroom space for CCK during the week and a fresh, welcoming space for Sunday childcare.

  • The Parlor has been moved to the former “Yellow Room” and has lovely new furnishings.

  • New, more energy efficient windows have been installed in the St. Francis building.

  • The duplexes at the corner of Portland Ave. and Providence Rd. were demolished to make way for a new parking area that will increase our overall parking capacity and be accessible from Portland Ave. (Visit this page to learn more about our ministry with Charlotte Family Housing.)
